Under the proposal the county would invoice Paw Paw annually for a prepaid block of 100 support hours at $5,000; additional hours beyond that block would be billed at $50 per hour. CJ said those figures were based on historical compensation data and the expectation that most requests will be tier‑1 and tier‑2 desktop support.
A commissioner asked how many employees the department has; CJ replied that Paw Paw is the only current village client receiving this service. CJ also said the county’s insurance carrier raised no objection, and that Paw Paw is also a client of MML (Michigan Municipal League).
The Committee of the Whole voted to approve the request to forward the three‑year agreement, at the $5,000 annual block rate with $50/hour overage, to the March 11 Board of Commissioners meeting for final approval.
