Public comment: resident raises calendar accuracy; another speaker delivers extended remarks on media and social issues

Jeff Itzik, a Dickinson resident, asked staff to review and update the city’s online calendar after finding an outdated event entry. He asked the commission to ensure the calendar is current so residents who use it can rely on posted meeting dates.
A second speaker, Ryan Misano of misanonews.com, delivered an extended public comment critical of media and public institutions. The speaker said the public is "being lied to" by mainstream media and expressed broad concerns about cultural and demographic trends, institutions and the need for civic engagement. The remarks included sweeping assertions about media control and demographic change; commissioners did not take questions or otherwise act on those remarks during the meeting.
The commission closed public comment after the two presentations.
