Commission adopts recodification ordinance to send municipal code to Municode

The Dickinson City Commission approved Ordinance 18-14 on its second reading, a recodification of the municipal code that city staff will send to Municode for online publication.
City attorney Wenko told commissioners the ordinance adopts a new multi-code system and that staff had seen no changes since the first reading. He said Municode expects to bring the city's code online within roughly three to seven days after the ordinance is formally sent to them.
There were no public comments at the hearing on the ordinance. The motion to adopt was made by Commissioner Riddle, seconded by Commissioner Frederick; the vote recorded four ayes (Commissioner Riddle — aye; Commissioner Frederick — aye; Commissioner Bair — aye; Chair Scott Decker — aye). Commissioner Oderman was absent.
Wenko said after Municode posts the recodified code the city will work to make the new online version available through the city website and other media platforms. No changes to the ordinance were offered at the meeting.
