At the March 5 Plan Commission study session, Ryan Zents, owner and applicant with Steiner Homes, sought an address amendment for a residential lot in Greenview Estates. Zents said the previous owner assigned the same street number (10100 West 90th Avenue) to two separate parcels; Zents asked the commission to renumber his parcel to 10096 to avoid conflicts.
Planning staff explained the history: the neighboring house uses 10090 West 90th Avenue, and the duplicate 10100 number dates to lot mapping in the 1980s–1990s. Ashley Abernathy told the commission that state statute authorizes the Plan Commission to assign and renumber street numbers and cited IC 36‑7‑4‑45(b) as the relevant authority. Staff said the petition will require a public action at the commission’s March meeting.
