Duval project: board hears construction update, contingency funding and upcoming change order

The speaker said crews were placing gravel and mesh over the site and that weather permitting, footer work would begin Jan. 27. The speaker described the installed drainage as functioning like "a giant leach bed" to collect runoff and channel it under the road into a nearby creek. The board was told masons have been contacted and plans include laying a cornerstone.
