Porter also described district communications initiatives, notably a “70% standard” campaign to encourage students to aim for 70% or better on assignments and assessments, and expanding social-media content (the district reported over 2,000,000 views of its content across platforms in the prior two months).
Porter referenced instructional supports such as Saturday academies, college visits for Wilson Early College students, and career-fair promotion. He also noted community partnerships and donations (for example, clear backpacks and hygiene-product donations) and a district effort to publicize a Los Angeles Unified School District donation site for families affected by wildfires. The superintendent closed the staff reports by thanking trustees and district staff for their support.
