"We did have the right to go back within 1 year of the previous filling of a vacancy to go back and look to get that pool, and we've done that," the staff member said. Staff added they expect to know whether the commission will fill the seat from the existing pool or open recruitment by the commission's next meeting.
No vote or formal action was taken at the session; the announcement was treated as housekeeping information and an item for future agenda follow up.
