At its February meeting, the Pensacola City Council approved the acceptance of a $3,525,000 Seaport Transportation Economic Development Grant to support the Pensacola Maritime High Performance Center of Excellence dock complex and adopted a series of companion supplemental budget resolutions and other grant actions. All motions recorded on the agenda passed by recorded tallies of 6-0.
The council voted to accept grant agreement 453973-1-94-01 in the total amount of $3,525,000 to support the maritime center and authorized the mayor to execute and administer the grant and related documents. Council Member Breyer moved the acceptance and Council Vice President Patton seconded; the vote passed 6-0.
Council also accepted an amendment to a separate Seaport Security Grant (grant number 4223543-94-05), increasing that grant by $36,750 to a revised total of $98,702, and adopted companion supplemental budget resolutions to appropriate the awarded funds. The amendment and the supplemental resolutions were approved on unanimous votes.
