The commission moved and seconded the extension and approved it; Commissioner Martinez seconded the motion when the mayor called for a vote.
Staff said they will schedule construction to avoid or accommodate major events such as Boo on Broadway and will return to the commission if timing allows earlier lifting of the moratorium in particular areas as construction phases move outward from the core downtown area.
