Finance committee backs annual renewal of Cheyenne liquor licenses

She also said six licenses are currently in a "park" status: Cloud 9 Restaurant and Bar (retail liquor license with airport designation), Scooter's Scoreboard Bar (retail), The Green Door (retail), 307 Racing (retail), 1734 Partners (retail) and the Dog House (bar and grill). She noted a public hearing on The Green Door's renewal and transfer-of-location applications will be held at the March 10 City Council meeting to allow processing time before the license expires.
Committee members asked procedural questions. One member asked whether there's a graduated warning process before enforcement action; Soden said police-issued violations can result in ticketing and that she would check state statute language so she could provide a definitive answer. Another member summarized background-check follow-up requested at a prior council meeting and said their review found only one instance of repeated illegal sales to minors.
The committee moved and seconded the recommendation to approve the renewals. Moved by Roybal and seconded by Esquivel, the committee took a voice vote and recommended approval to the Monday City Council meeting.
