Program composition: roughly 71% product (capital), 15% production support and 14% operations. - CRTPA area: Tentative program totals for CRTPA projects were reported at approximately $534.6 million (approximately 84% product, 14% production support, 2% operations/maintenance). - Orange Avenue (State Road 373) capacity projects: Two segments were noted — South of Lake Bradford Road to Cypress Lake Street (design funded in FY2028; significant construction and right-of-way needs remain, staff cited approximately $46.7 million in unfunded construction/R/W needs) and Cypress Lake Street to South Monroe (design funding in FY2027 to complete plans; staff said right-of-way and construction remain unfunded with cumulative unfunded needs cited near $125 million for later phases). - Local program projects and multimodal highlights: Waverly Road sidewalk (Thomasville Road to Meridian) funded for construction in FY2026 through the CRTPA-managed Transportation Alternatives program; multiple SCOP/SCRAP county resurfacing and widening projects were described for Jefferson, Wakulla and McIntosh counties. - Safety and operations: I‑10 bridge deck grind and high-friction surface treatment projects on the Ochlockonee bridges (design FY2026, construction FY2027) and Leon County ATMS (traffic management) operations funding later in the program.
US‑319 update: FDOT staff reported a virtual public project update will be available March 12. Right‑of‑way acquisition for the segment of US‑319 from south of the Wakulla County line to south of L. L. Wallace Road has funding in FY2026; the transcript records approximately $7,300,000 for right-of-way acquisition. FDOT staff told the board that construction is not currently funded and the present construction estimate is about $57,000,000.
Board discussion and questions: Board members asked about segmentation of Orange Avenue work (staff explained PD&E and corridor-level planning are done together and later segmented into construction-affordable pieces), the schedule for Pensacola Street and Stadium Drive midblock crossing elements (staff confirmed those elements were included in contracts let in November 2024 and construction contracts were executed in January 2025), and potential traffic impacts from a proposed Buc-ee’s development (staff said development impacts would be studied as projects move forward).
