Sweetwater County commissioners on March 4 unanimously approved Resolution 25-03-CL-01, authorizing a $1,352.10 transfer within the county capital budget to cover custodial equipment costs.
The vote followed a brief staff explanation from Rebecca Romero, accounting specialist, who said the county’s recently purchased skid-steer broom came in under estimate but the carpet-cleaner estimate exceeded expectations. "The skidster broom that we purchased came in under, $1,003.52... However, the carpet cleaner estimate is a little bit higher than they anticipated, so we would like to transfer that in," Romero said. She added the transfer "is not gonna touch the general fundraisers. It's just moving funds."

Commissioner John Jones moved to approve Resolution 25-03-CL-01 in the amount of $1,352.10; Commissioner Robert Slaughter seconded. Hearing no discussion, the board adopted the resolution by unanimous voice vote.
The transfer will be recorded in project accounting and will fund the higher carpet-cleaner cost as detailed in the agenda packet’s attachment.
