Centerville City Council approves contract extensions, IT mutual-aid pact and ADA ramp bid; appoints planning commissioner

Centerville City Council on Monday approved a package of operational contracts, an IT mutual‑aid agreement and a construction bid while appointing a planning commissioner.

The council voted unanimously to: extend the city’s solid‑waste, green‑waste and recycling services contract with ACE Disposal for two years with a 5% rate increase in each of the two years; enter a multi‑jurisdiction IT mutual‑aid agreement that provides up to 40 hours of aid per participating city and directs staff to report back with estimated training costs under Section 10; approve a concessions‑use agreement with a local youth organization at a flat fee of $1 for the season term; and award the 400 East/First South‑to‑Pages Lane ADA Ped Ramp Replacement project to Albertsons Concrete and Construction for $260,300.
