The Tippecanoe County Drainage Board granted construction approval for Hadley Flats, a 2.2-acre development on the east side of Morehouse Road upstream of Hadley Lake, after the project's designer and county staff said the stormwater design meets Indian Creek watershed release-rate requirements.
Pat Gerbo of Seabird Design presented the plan and said the site includes below-ground detention designed to meet the Indian Creek Watershed release rates. County staff noted that the site manages some off-site stormwater runoff and recommended approval based on a Christopher Burke review memo dated Feb. 21, 2025. Zach, a county staff member, said, "Pat did a very good job explaining the project. I do wanna point out it is an Indian Creek impact area and they are meeting a restricted release rate. And with that, I'd recommend approval." The board voted to grant construction approval per the Burke memo.
The project description and approval materials state the design includes a below-ground detention system and will convey positive stormwater drainage toward Hadley Lake. No substantive public opposition or technical exceptions were recorded in the transcript.
