Public services delays signing EADA HOA feasibility proposal pending timeline from HOA

Savannah Clement, a Public Services staff member, updated the Cowlitz County Board of Commissioners on the EADA homeowners association (HOA) feasibility proposal and said staff will not seek the board’s signatures until the HOA supplies a timeline.
Clement said the proposal had been brought to the board the prior week and that she had not asked the board to sign it then. “I did not have the board sign it at that time. Kinda wanted to wait and make sure, you know, they did they did okay it, both commissioners, but I just wanna make sure we're we're okay with you,” she said. Clement added that Commissioner Dahl had directed staff to establish a timeline; she has asked the HOA but “I just have not received 1 back. So I won't bring it for signature until we have a a solid timeline.”
Clement said she requested the timeline because county representatives plan to travel to Washington, D.C., and would like to bring the timeline to meetings there if it is available, but she acknowledged that timeline delivery from the HOA may not be feasible on that schedule.
No signatures or formal action were taken; staff will await the HOA’s timeline and return the proposal for signature only after receiving that information.
