College Place Youth Advisory Commission pursues sister‑city exchanges for 2025

Garcia said the commissions membership for the project includes one student "from Wawa," three students from College Place High School and two students from Walla Walla University. The students plan cultural and educational exchanges and are also exploring a second sister-city relationship with a community in Italy.
Commissioners responded positively, with the chair noting interest in seeing the groups work. Garcia said staff will continue to support the Youth Advisory Commission as it develops the sister-city plans. No formal action or funding decision for the sister‑city project was reported at the meeting.
