Roberta Cutright, owner-operator of a nail salon that currently operates inside a Walmart, spoke at the City of South Fulton community zoning information meeting on March 3 to request a special-use permit to operate a nail salon at 1105 Research Center Drive in City Council District 1.
Cutright said she currently has three licensed technicians and one apprentice at the location and that she plans to expand training so others can “have a career in this industry.” She told staff she has owned a salon since 2012 and has been at that Walmart location for about four years.
City staff asked clarifying questions about the length of ownership and about operations; Cutright confirmed the timeline and offered no further public comments at the meeting. Staff and applicants were reminded of the Form E public participation report deadline of April 7, 2025, and the subsequent public hearings on April 16 (planning commission) and May 13 (city council).
No formal action was taken at the information meeting.
