Planning Board grants waivers, accepts application to convert 9 Lund Road to medical dispensary; public hearing set for April 1

The Planning Board reviewed an application from Thriving Wellness LLC to change the state license at 9 Lund Road from an individual caregiver operation to a medical marijuana dispensary. Shannon (planning staff) summarized that the location currently operates cultivation and patient pickup and that the proposed change would formalize a medical dispensary retail area of about 350 square feet within an existing 13,308 sq. ft. building.

The applicant, owner Prima Daga, confirmed there are no exterior changes proposed and that pick‑ups are handled through an existing locked entrance. Staff noted three waiver requests — boundary survey, landscaping plan and lighting plan — and verified that newly installed exterior fixtures are dark‑sky‑compliant per code enforcement documentation. Board members concluded the waivers were appropriate because the site is already developed, and the lighting was confirmed by the code enforcement electrical inspector to be dark‑sky compliant.

The board voted unanimously to grant the three waivers, found the application complete and set a public hearing for April 1.
