The Moorhead Planning Commission on March 3 unanimously elected Brent Beam as chair and Robert Siegel as vice chair for 2025, approved minutes from its Feb. 3 meeting and named Lindsay as the commission's alternate to the FM Metrocog Policy Board.
Commissioners first voted to remove from the table a motion that had delayed the election of officers at a previous meeting. Following that procedural step, a commissioner moved to elect Brent Beam as chair; the commission approved the motion by voice vote with no opposition. A subsequent motion to elect Robert Siegel as vice chair was also approved by voice vote.
When the commission asked for volunteers for the FM Metrocog (Fargo-Moorhead Metropolitan Council of Governments) Policy Board alternate position, a commissioner offered a motion to appoint Lindsay; that motion passed by voice vote. The commission then moved to approve the minutes from Feb. 3; the motion carried by voice vote.
All voice votes on these organizational items registered in the affirmative with no recorded opposition. The roll call at the start of the meeting lists six commissioners present. With no further business, the commission adjourned.
