Council Member Smith asked how citizens can find specific project locations; staff said project sections are assigned as engineering inspects sidewalks and that adjacent property owners are typically notified about one week in advance. Vote: unanimous.
- Resolution (Item D) ' Hair Construction Inc.: Council approved a contract with Hair Construction Incorporated for the 2024 sanitary sewer lining contract for $1,460,711. Staff told council this contract represents approximately 8% of the town's sewer system to be lined as part of the multi-year program. Vote: unanimous.
- Resolution ' Electricity supply for aggregation program: Council authorized execution of a contract for electricity supply for the town's electric aggregation program covering residential and small-commercial retail customers. Staff discussed enrollment rules for customers with solar panels and said net-metered customers are not automatically enrolled; customers not receiving Ameren net-metering credits would be enrolled in aggregation. Vote: unanimous.
Why it matters: these routine contract awards and the omnibus approvals advance recurring infrastructure maintenance (sidewalks, sewer rehabilitation), procurement of water-materials and the town's energy-aggregation program. The sidewalk award includes an ADA-ramp component and a communications workflow to notify affected properties in advance.
