Superintendent Wagner responded to the motion in brief remarks to the board, praising students and staff and thanking the community for his time in the district. "To them they are my why," Wagner said, referring to students he described as his motivation during his tenure.
Board members conducted the roll-call vote verbally. Directors recorded as voting in favor included Director Olson, Director Valerio, Director Klotz, Director Skor, Director Hoffman, Director Nelson and the acting chair, who announced an affirmative vote. The motion outcome was recorded as approved.
The motion instructs that Wagner will be on administrative leave for the stated period and that he will "make himself available during the transition as needed," according to remarks by Director Nelson summarizing discussions with legal counsel and the superintendent.
