Milford City Council approved a construction engineering (CE) services contract for the 2025 roads project, authorizing staking and layout, contract administration, bookkeeping and inspection services.
Staff said the CE scope includes full staking and layout, construction observation with 12 weeks of full-time and four weeks of part-time inspection, and contract administration tasks such as pay applications and change order management. Material testing will be provided through the city's typical partner G2.
The council moved to approve the proposal and the motion carried. No additional contract dollar figures were stated on the record during the presentation; staff indicated standard contract administration will be included in the services.
Staff will administer the CE contract during construction and bring contract amendments to council if additional services or time are required.
