Council members asked about coordination with utility companies after the presenter noted a 1929-era utility line was discovered and that the city has had trouble getting timely planning-side engagement from DTE. The presenter said the city has had better responses from DTE Electric than from DTE Gas and that field contacts have promised follow-up names for planning coordination.
The council moved and voted to approve the change order during the meeting; the motion carried.
The approval included no amendment to the project scope beyond the additional rehabilitation identified at the site. No future funding or schedule changes were specified in the city presentation.
