The Davenport City Council committee of the whole approved an allocation of $1,165,000 in ARPA interest funds to support a temporary relocation for the Davenport Junior Theatre Wednesday.
During the finance portion of the meeting, Paul Vasquez (Third Ward) asked for details about the allocation and whether there were long-term plans. Hannah Whitehurst, Community Partnerships and Special Projects Manager, told the committee the allocation covers construction for the temporary relocation, associated utilities and moving expenses. She said the council has not yet addressed future planning for a permanent location.
The allocation was included among finance items moved to the consent agenda; councilmembers placed items 1–9 on consent by motion and vote.
