City police described that officers were alerted to a 39-year-old woman with suicidal ideation who had taken an unknown quantity of pills and may have been traveling toward the Princeton area. At approximately 7:34 p.m., Officer Kowalski located the woman’s vehicle in the Walmart parking lot and found the driver unconscious with shallow breathing. According to the police presenter, Kowalski used a window‑breaking tool to gain access, and with Officer Harvey’s help removed the woman from the vehicle and began first aid. Police said three doses of naloxone (Narcan) were administered before emergency medical services arrived; the woman survived and was transported to a hospital.
The council presented formal recognition to the officers during the meeting; family members and colleagues attended. The council thanked the officers and acknowledged their quick actions.
