The Wheeling Liquor Control Commission approved a Class L liquor license request for Signature Flight Support to host a nonprofit fundraising event at Hangar 12, 285 Sumac Road on March 9, 2025.
The license category, as explained to the commission, permits a not-for-profit organization to hold up to three events per year under the Class L designation. Village staff said this March 9 event is the first of the three allowable events and that all alcoholic beverages will be served by certified catering staff from Bassett.
Village attorney/agent Michael Fonduellis (identified in the record as the presenter) answered procedural questions and confirmed the event details. With no substantive questions from commissioners, Commissioner Rafado moved to approve and Commissioner Lang seconded. Roll-call votes recorded “yes” from Commissioner Papantos, Commissioner Vito, Commissioner Lang, Commissioner Raffato, Commissioner Vogel and Chairperson Horker. The motion carried.
