Council renames portion of Goldenrod Drive to Pinecrest Drive in Somerset Reserve

The Troy City Council on March 3 adopted Ordinance O12/04/2025 to change the name of a portion of Goldenrod Drive to Pinecrest Drive within the Somerset Reserve planned development. The change applies from the southern cul-de-sac on Goldenrod Drive to the west boundary of the subdivision and was proposed to make street names consistent with the recorded plat.
The law and ordinance committee reported that no lots on the affected portion have yet been built upon and recommended preparing legislation to formally change the name. Council moved to suspend the rules, took final action that evening and recorded unanimous votes in favor among members present; Susan Westfall was excused.
The ordinance was presented as a corrective measure to align plat documents and street naming prior to development of lots in that portion of Somerset Reserve.
