The Troy City Council on March 3 adopted Resolution R12-20-25 renewing the application of Sherry H. Mumpower to keep 25.15 acres in an agricultural district, following a second reading and a unanimous roll-call vote with one member excused.
The law and ordinance committee had recommended adoption after holding the required public hearing on Feb. 18 in which no comments were received. The committee report noted this is the seventh five-year renewal filing for the parcel on the east side of Lytle Road. The council voted to suspend the rules to take final action and then adopted the resolution on the same evening.
The item was presented to council as a routine renewal under the city’s farmland and agricultural district process; no legislative conditions or changes to the farm-district boundaries were proposed during the discussion. The resolution’s adoption preserves the parcel’s current agricultural-district status for the next statutory period.
Council members voting in favor were Bobby Phillips, Todd Sievert, Samuel Pierce, Jeffrey Witten, Christy Marshall, Jeff Schilling, William Twist and Lynn Snee; Susan Westfall was recorded as excused. No public comments were recorded at the March 3 meeting on this item.
