Mohave County officials reported on March 3 that the Goat Hill TV District tower project was completed in February and the county’s Mohave County Sheriff’s Office and Public Works communications systems are now hosted on the new tower.
County staff said the old compromised tower has been removed and the new structure includes modern transmitters and room for future expansion. County managers said broadcast transmission adjustments are underway; the tower was already operating at more than three‑quarters capacity and expected to reach full functionality in the coming weeks.
The county noted the new tower was built with state‑of‑the‑art construction that improves durability and provides potential leasing opportunities should the board choose to pursue third‑party users in the future. No lease agreements were proposed at the meeting.
