Lakewood council approves consent agenda and several contracts; vouchers and payroll certified

The Lakewood City Council on March 3 adopted the consent agenda and approved a set of routine but budgetary significant items, including payroll, claims and two construction-related contracts.
The consent agenda included: approval of minutes from Feb. 10 and Feb. 18, 2025; claims vouchers totaling $4,514,027.24 for the period Jan. 16'Feb. 14, 2025; payroll checks totaling $3,253,612.39 for the period Jan. 16'Feb. 15, 2025; Motion 2025-13 authorizing execution of an agreement with KBH Construction for $286,370 to install new park signs; and Motion 2025-14 authorizing an interlocal agreement with Lakewood Water District for construction of a water main along Interlochen Drive between Washington Boulevard and 112th Street.
Councilmember Brandstetter moved the consent agenda; Councilmember Laura Sella seconded the motion and the council adopted it by voice vote. The consent agenda motion was recorded as adopted without individual roll-call tallies listed in the public meeting record.
Separately the council later adopted Motion 2025-15 authorizing a professional services agreement with GMP Consultants for the city manager recruitment (see separate article). That motion was moved by Councilmember Bokey and seconded by Councilmember Pearson and passed unanimously.
All items listed in the consent agenda and the separate motions passed at the March 3 meeting were adopted; no dissenting votes were recorded on the public audio record.
