Duvall to continue Eastside Transportation Partnership membership; council hears aims of interlocal agreement

Duvall sits in the Snoqualmie Valley small-cities subgroup; Thomas said Duvall has voting rights in that subgroup and that Councilmember Naplan serves as the city's representative. Thomas described the proposed changes to the interlocal agreement as largely wordsmithing, noting one small change to section 2.1 to add transportation project letters and a corresponding deletion of redundant language.
Thomas said the group's annual dues for Duvall are $100 and that the partnership maintains about $11,000 in its account for meeting costs; the county requested early approval because it moves the interlocal through the county calendar ahead of budget season. Council members asked about benefits to Duvall; Thomas and another councilmember said membership provides a forum to raise Snoqualmie Valley issues to the regional table and to receive updates on major projects such as light-rail and transit route changes.
