The Millard County Commission approved a series of routine agenda items, including meeting minutes, small IGP waivers, a business-license application, a youth-program appropriation and equipment/vehicle transfers.
Approval of minutes: Commissioners approved the Feb. 18 meeting minutes with a set of clerical changes noted by commissioners during the meeting.
IGP waivers and business license: The commission approved two IGP waivers (coach-pitch waivers at $40 each) and granted a business license to Spotless Sweep LLC, owner Mackenzie M. Laubel, for commercial and residential cleaning services.
American Legion Auxiliary Girls State funding: Commissioners approved an appropriation of $250 per girl to support applicants selected to attend the American Legion Auxiliary Girls State program at Weber State University (the commission had funded the same amount in prior years). The applicants requested half of the program cost per girl be covered by the commission; the commission approved the requested $250 per girl.
Surplus property and vehicle transfers: The commission approved transfers of several county vehicles: moving two sheriff's vehicles to the road department, transferring two road-department trucks to the landfill and authorizing surplus and sale of two landfill trucks. The board directed staff to obtain market appraisals for a lowboy trailer being considered for sale and to reconcile differing valuation estimates.
Other procedural items: The Board of Equalization reviewed continuing nonprofit property-tax exemption forms and will return with any items requiring action at a future meeting; commissioners also authorized a closed-session meeting later in the agenda to discuss pending or reasonably imminent litigation per Utah Code.
