The Board of Yakima County Commissioners on Feb. 11 adopted the consent agenda, approving a set of resolutions, interlocal agreements, service contracts and grant actions the board had reviewed in prior work sessions.

Items listed included: Auditor accounts‑payable warrant approval (issue date 01/31/2025); Resolution 30‑2025 (altering certain voting precinct boundaries); minutes from Jan. 27 and Jan. 30 work sessions; a county roads interlocal agreement with the Town of Harrah for road inspection services; Resolution 33‑2025 (amendment of petty cash funds for WSU Extension); a 2025 agreement with Washington State University for the WSU Extension program; human services agreements and modifications including participation with the High Intensity Drug Trafficking Area overdose detection mapping application, a modification to the Union Gospel Mission shelter contract to expand night‑by‑night and family shelter services, a mental health sales tax contract with Yakima County District Court for a DUI court reentry specialist, opioid settlement funds contract with Safe Yakima Valley for a positive social norms program; a hazard mitigation grant agreement with the Washington Military Department for the Gap to Gap project; and an amendment to the WFS Environmental Inc. agreement for encampment cleanup services to increase funding.
The consent agenda was moved and seconded and adopted by voice vote; the board recorded all in favor and the consent agenda was adopted.
Under the regular agenda, the board considered item A — an accounts‑payable warrant approval for McKinney Glass (issue date Jan. 31, 2025). The motion to approve was moved and seconded and carried with two commissioners voting in favor and one commissioner recording an abstention. The transcript does not specify which commissioner abstained.
The board then met in two successive executive sessions to discuss potential litigation, citing a statutory executive‑session authority as read in the meeting. The first session was set for 20 minutes and the second for 15 minutes. According to the public record announcement at reconvening, no discussion led to a decision or action in either executive session.
