The Blacksburg Planning Commission approved its consent agenda and scheduled two public hearings for April 1, 2025, at a short meeting held in the Roger He Hedgepath Chambers.
The consent agenda included three items: approval of the Planning Commission minutes from Feb. 4, 2025; Plat 2416, the Farmingdale Major Subdivision preliminary plat for property at 210 Farmingdale Lane, for which the commission scheduled a public hearing on April 1, 2025; and Rezoning 25-1 (Ordinance 20-75), the Catalyst Blacksburg Planned Residential rezone request for property at 3503 Holiday Lane, which the commission also scheduled for a public hearing on April 1, 2025.
A commissioner moved to approve the consent agenda and another commissioner seconded. The commission then voted in favor; the meeting record shows the ayes were called and the items were approved as presented.
There were no public hearings and no citizen comments at the meeting. Committee reports on the Zoning Ordinance Review Committee and the Historical Design Review Board indicated those bodies had not met; the Montgomery County Planning Commission correspondence was received via mail. The planning director and the town council representative reported no items.
The meeting was brief and adjourned after the consent agenda and routine reports. Regular Planning Commission meetings are held in the Roger He Hedgepath Chambers on the first Tuesday of each month at 6:30 p.m.
