The Metropolitan King County Council on Feb. 11 held a public hearing on a proposed ordinance to annex roughly 1.1 acres of land (the Park Lane annexation) into the Northeast Sammamish Water and Sewer District to provide sewer service.
The clerk read the ordinance into the record as “proposed ordinance 2025-0038 relating to the annexation of approximately 1.1 acres of land into the Northeast Sammamish Water and Sewer District, known as the Park Lane annexation, for the purpose of sewer service.” The council opened the public hearing and accepted in‑chamber and remote comment under the meeting’s public testimony ground rules. Few members of the public addressed the annexation specifically during the hearing; the speakers list for in‑chamber testimony included individuals speaking primarily to the Black History Month proclamation rather than to annexation detail.
After the public hearing the chair stated item 7 would remain in the Local Services and Land Use Committee until that committee takes action; the item was not advanced for final council action at this meeting.
No formal vote on the ordinance was recorded during the Feb. 11 meeting. The council indicated the item will be placed on a future council agenda after committee action.
