King County Council adopts revised 2025 voting precincts and confirms four appointments

The Metropolitan King County Council on Feb. 25 adopted an ordinance revising King County's voting precincts for 2025 and confirmed several appointments during a short, largely consent-focused meeting.
The council adopted Proposed Ordinance 2025-0048, "adopting the revision of voting precincts of King County for the year 2025," on the consent agenda. The measure passed on a roll-call vote of eight ayes with Council Member Dunn recorded as excused. Vice Chair Perry moved the consent item and Chair Grama Zahale presided over the vote.
Also on consent, the council confirmed the executive's appointment of Velma Viloria as the Beacon Hill community representative to the King County International Airport Roundtable (Proposed Motion 2024-0382). That motion passed by roll call with eight ayes and Council Member Dunn excused.
Separately, the council confirmed the executive's reappointment of Carol Gritzel to the King County Children and Youth Advisory Board (Proposed Motion 2025-0026). That reappointment passed 9-0.
A motion appointing a qualified person to a vacant position on King County Fire Protection District 47's Board of Commissioners (Proposed Motion 2025-0072) was also on the agenda; the council moved to suspend Rule 9.G to take up the item. After interview and brief remarks by council members, the motion to appoint Christo Bruce passed by a 9-0 roll call.
