Hoover City Council approves consent agenda, awards bids and authorizes $100,000 for Chamber program

The Hoover City Council on Feb. 24, 2025, approved a 13-item consent agenda that included vendor contracts, property donations to the Alabama Department of Transportation and construction bids, and separately authorized a $100,000 payment to the Hoover Chamber of Commerce for the Elevated Hoover program.

The consent agenda passed on a single motion and voice vote. The council then approved resolution 839525, authorizing expenditure of $100,000 to the Hoover Chamber for the Elevated Hoover program for the fiscal year ending Sept. 30, 2025. The council also held a first reading of an ordinance to rezone property at 5245 Ross Bridge Parkway to C-2 Community Business District and scheduled a public hearing for March 17, 2025.
