Heritage committee launches community survey on where to house school memorabilia

"We were charged with... trying to create some way of keeping the heritage of the schools that are being closed," the heritage committee representative said, noting the group has met twice and prepared a brief community survey.

What the committee said: - The survey asks community members where memorabilia should be housed and what kinds of items (yearbooks, jerseys, trophies, report cards, newspaper clippings, photographs) should be collected or copied. - The survey has been distributed in print (drop boxes at each school), in the local newspaper, on the district website and on Facebook; a QR code and paper copies are available. - The survey closes March 18; the committee will meet March 19 to review results. - As of the last update provided at the meeting, the committee had received roughly a dozen responses and expected more before the deadline.
The committee asked the board and community to share the survey and noted arrangements for physical drop-box collection at each affected school.
