Commission discusses Prosser site, community center uses, farmers market and youth programs; assigns volunteers for goals

Members of the Sunnyside Community & Economic Development Commission spent the meeting assigning commission volunteers as leads on the commission’s priority goals and discussing several program ideas and facility opportunities.

Commission volunteers: Commissioners worked through a goal list and assigned at least one lead for each priority area so members and residents know whom to contact for particular issues. Commissioners emphasized that assignment of a lead does not exclude others from participating; leads will act as a primary contact and coordinator for each goal area.

Prosser site and nonprofit office space: Commissioners reported outreach to nonprofit partners and to the church next to the Prosser site that has unused rooms.
