Commissioner Dolan moved to add the reflection; Commissioner Ben Thielen seconded the motion. The commission heard brief discussion, including an objection from Ms. Khan who said she objected to starting public meetings “with prayers to any God.” After a voice vote, the chair declared the motion carried and the reflection was added as written.
