The report noted that while some workers travel from Houston and pay their own way to staff spring training in Florida before returning to regular-season work in Texas, most live in the Palm Beaches area and several have worked spring training each year since the park opened in 2017.
Workers said the job requires long hours on their feet, "rain or shine," but offered social benefits that many find rewarding, including conversations with fans and players. The report described a range of roles on site — from vendors selling snacks and drinks to ticket takers and security staff — and highlighted the informal perks workers list as reasons they return.
