Woodland council approves agenda, vouchers, irrigation‑meter ordinance and bank card resolution

The Woodland City Council took several routine and ordinance actions at its March 3, 2025 meeting.
The council unanimously approved the meeting agenda after a motion and second. The council then unanimously approved minutes from the previous regular meeting.
Action on vouchers: The council approved February 2025 vouchers. Councilmembers discussed items in the vouchers packet including multiple utility accounts and larger pump costs; the motion to approve passed unanimously.
Ordinance: The council voted to adopt Ordinance No. 1570, amending Woodland Municipal Code 13.04.24 to allow suspension of irrigation‑meter charges for nonprofit organizations. The ordinance passed unanimously; a public commenter who identified themselves as Miss Rippda thanked council for supporting the waiver.
Resolution: The council adopted Resolution No. 799, authorizing an agreement with Umpqua Bank for the city’s commercial card program. City staff said the change replaces a third‑party administrator and keeps the same credit limits and cardholders while moving the program to Umpqua Bank. The motion passed unanimously.
Meeting closure: The council then approved a motion to end the meeting.
