The superintendent said Granillo’s experience would support the district’s Safe Schools, Safe Students initiative and that the board earlier had an opportunity to meet him. Granillo told the board he was “very excited about that” and that the role “feels like home.” Board members welcomed the appointment and thanked him for making himself available to answer questions.
