Facilities staff outline roof-warranty expirations across district properties

"The line everyone's look at is when a warranty expires ... and needless to say, I do not have any issues with that roof," one facilities staff member said about the QE upper roof, which he noted expired in February 2013 but is pitched to drain to the center.
Staff said Garland and Carlisle are the district’s more common manufacturers, with a handful of Tremco systems that are now well beyond warranty. Committee members asked staff to confirm specific day-and-month warranty end dates where documentation showed only a year; staff said the dates came from project closeout and final acceptance documents and that they would verify exact dates.
No procurement action was taken; the briefing served as an informational update to help prioritize future capital planning and potential warranty claims.
