Commissioner Blake, who chaired the finance committee, told the commission the project had been approved for up to $80,625. The final invoice arrived $3,937 over projection; $2,940.75 remained in the HCI Public Water Fund. "The finance committee approved recommending using an additional $996.25 of the remaining HCI grant funds to satisfy this obligation," Blake said, and he placed the proposal as a formal motion. Commissioner Slater seconded the motion. The clerk recorded a roll-call vote of 13 in favor, none opposed, and one absent.
The motion covers the $3,937 overage by applying the remaining HCI fund balance ($2,940.75) and $996.25 more from HCI grant funds as recommended by the finance committee. The commission did not record any amendments or additional conditions to the funding action during the meeting.
The finance committee had reviewed the invoice and remaining grant balance prior to the meeting and recommended the funding transfer to reconcile the final bill. The county finance office will execute the transfer consistent with the commission vote.
