Board members acknowledged the student dress-code proposals were developed by the District Accountability Committee. The first reading of the dress-code policy includes minimum requirements and reserves administrative discretion to determine appropriate dress beyond minimums for K–12 differences; the board asked staff to prepare clarifying language for the second reading.
The meeting also included a second reading of the administrative staff sick leave revision (GCCB-R); staff said a small change in section 5 was intended to clarify application of the sick bank. The board did not adopt final language at the meeting and will consider revised drafts during the second reading process.
