Board approves construction manager contract for Prosser career center; district staff said AML selected

The New Albany-Floyd County School Board voted unanimously March 3 to approve a construction-manager contract for work at Prosser career and technical education center.
District staff member Winn told the board that the district received two proposals — from AML Construction and Hagerman — and that AML offered the most comprehensive package and an in-kind donation toward the project. "AML has provided most comprehensive package and offered an in kind donation towards the project," Winn said during the meeting.
Board members then moved and seconded the motion to approve the contract as presented and recorded a roll-call vote in favor: Mrs. Weishard (Aye); Mrs. Carruthers (Aye); Mrs. Ball (Aye); Mrs. Galligan (Aye); Mr. Nafus (Aye); Mrs. Northup (Aye); and Mrs. Gardner (Aye). The motion was announced as passing 7-0.
The meeting transcript records the motion wording as, "I motion that we approve for contract KML as presented," and the motion was seconded on the record. The transcript also includes staff explanation that AML was selected after reference checks and scope review. No dollar amount for the contract or further contract identifiers were provided in the verbal record at the meeting.
