New Albany-Floyd County board approves technical corrections to multiple policies, 7-0

Dr. Madison said he had circulated the list to board members and that, because the items were ‘‘just technical corrections,’’ they did not require the usual two-read process. He read the policy numbers for the record: 1112, 1216, 1422, 1520, 1622, 2602, 2620, 2606, 20430, 20730, 1202, 30216, 303602, 401202, 40216, 403602, 501306, 515517, 50730, 507701, 50840, 80390 and 8510 (policy numbering as read aloud in the meeting).
Board members cast roll-call votes in favor: Mrs. Weishard (Aye); Mrs. Carruthers (Aye); Mrs. Ball (Aye); Mrs. Galligan (Aye); Mr. Nafus (Aye); Mrs. Northup (Aye); and Mrs. Gardner (Aye). The motion carried 7-0.
No substantive policy changes, new programs, or new spending were brought forward as part of the corrections. Board members did not ask for additional public hearings or new readings; the item was described and acted on as technical updates only.
The board moved next to agenda items on construction contracts and a facilities assessment work session with Schmidt Associates.
