Board clears Botteco del Manolo to expand acoustic entertainment to weekdays

The Board of License Commissioners unanimously approved an amendment to the entertainment license for Botteco del Manolo Framingham Inc., d/b/a Botteco del Manolo, 1583 Worcester Road, allowing acoustic entertainment Monday–Saturday, 6 p.m.–11 p.m., pending payment of fees and municipal approvals.
Assistant manager Hugo Stopa told the board the restaurant seeks to add nights to improve business after slow months. “We think that one hour earlier will be a strategy to get people to go to the restaurant a little bit earlier,” he said; the restaurant expects to continue the same acoustic format and not add DJs or bands.
Commissioners asked the police department for calls for service; Lieutenant McCarthy said there were no recent investigations related to the location. The motion to amend the days and hours, conditioned on payment of taxes and city approvals, passed on roll call, 5–0.
The board wished the applicant success with the expanded schedule.
