Consent calendar: The council approved the consent calendar, which included waiving additional readings of ordinances and resolutions, approval of minutes for Dec. 10, 2024, authorization for the mayor to attend an out-of-state conference in Washington, D.C., a resolution authorizing the city manager to execute an on-call GIS services contract with the North State Planning and Development Collective, and a resolution amending the City of Riverbank compensation plan for the city clerk salary range. A motion to approve the consent calendar passed by roll call, 5-0.
Vice mayor appointment: The council nominated and appointed Council Member Cindy Fossey as vice mayor for 2025. Fossey accepted the appointment, and the motion to appoint her carried by roll call, 5-0.
Meeting schedule adjustment: The council approved adjustments to the 2025 meeting calendar and specifically moved to cancel the Nov. 11 meeting (Veterans Day) with the option to call a special meeting if needed; that motion passed by roll call, 5-0.
Committee appointments: The council reviewed and confirmed appointments to intergovernmental and internal boards and committees for 2025, including League of California Cities Central Valley Division representation, Stancog Policy Board, Stanislaus Homeless Alliance Board (SHAW) primary and alternate, and others.
